Millenium House
The initial planning of the apartment did not cause any positive emotions: a long corridor and 3 rooms. The problem stood to coordinate "panel" architecture to idea of the modern person about comfort.
The first step was capture of territory: have attached kitchen to a living-room (have got rid of a pantry). Have removed the partition between rooms and have put a bar rack on its place — have fulfilled the treasured dream of the owner. His wife was satisfied too: the blind facades of a base unit in a corridor hide not only shelves for the dishes, but also a big refrigerator.
To make the most of the sunlight we have left some walls virgin white. Working surface is white too. The floor is light. That makes stronger the main color accent — bright flash of red facades. Only noble black and constrained grey can keep their company. And the main task is to choose the necessary tone!
When it was time to choose style the owners reject Asian and Country, and we have stopped on modern furniture with details of classics.
There are plenty attributes of "palace" beautiful life in the apartment: cosy Voltaire armchair, massive golden frames, mirrors with facet, an ornate stucco decor. At the same time the atmosphere here is quite democratic. The heart of the house is a living-room united with kitchen. When visitors come, the room turns to a dining room — for this purpose it’s enough to move a bar rack and to cover a dining table.
Each room has its own color and the mood. The living-room with an abundance of light textiles looks cosy, kitchen with bright flashes of red — is cheerful, a bedroom with a massive gold arch — solemnly, and a nursery in gentle beige tones — is quiet. Floors — warm, wooden, it is pleasant to go barefoot in the apartment.
