KEDO style
White and black are versatile colors. Over years they are essential in all design areas. Each color has useful properties: black visually reduces, white – increases, but both emphasize the shape of the object.
The white and black union works under other laws. The white-black scale gives geometric look and refinement to objects.
In this project we have left disputes on advantages of black and white and have chosen both colors. Have made exessive use of a white paint. Have painted all walls in white color to displace accent from the architecture on the view from windows.
Slight specks scarlet and gold in chandeliers and decoration on the one hand have given special grandeur to the space, with another – have something in common with milky white color of walls.
An apartment made with only one decorative move may looks uncomfortable. For variety’s sake in the interior we brought the game on contrast of textures: smooth matte walls, silk and velvet wall-papers, faultless shine of mirrors and a rough stucco moulding. Other important point – the size of the chosen objects. To strengthen the "palace" atmosphere, it was necessary to raise visually the height of the ceiling. For this purpose, while erecting new walls, the doors specially were lead up to the ceiling. The new furniture has been also created by sketches. Its laconic forms perfectly supplement classical decoration of walls, and ornate patterns of a headboard hide a family monogram.
But the main idea of this interior does not require comments. Its put in black and white: the classical architecture and design furniture make perfect union.
